We about us - The company profile
Messrs. Geraetebau Felix Schulte GmbH & Co. KG. was founded
in 1947 and celebrated the 50th anniversary of its existence in
1997.
In our Warstein-based factory, Germany, PLANILUX X-ray film
viewers are developed and manufactured. These highly reputed products are
distributed world-wide through qualified distributors in the
medico-technical and radiological market.
Among our most important customers nearly all
well-established X-ray companies at home and abroad are present.
Backed by a high prestige as a manufacturer and by 50 years
of successful trading in the world market, we cover with our
product line nearly the entire film viewer range in medical
X-ray diagnosis. As a result, our specialized units account for
a particularly high market share in mammography and screening
centres.
Another strong point of our policy is the continued
development and production of special models accurately tailored
to the specific needs of our customers.
Thanks to the acknowledged outstanding quality and the
extremely favourable price-performance ratio of our products, we
succeeded in steadily boosting our market share. Apart from
Europe, USA, Asia and Australia have become our most important
export markets.
In October 2004 we entered into a long-term cooperation
agreement with S-CAPE GmbH, 08468 Reichenbach, for the
development and manufacture of special systems. This concerns a
novel combination of conventional analogue X-ray film viewing and
computer-assisted digital data processing, including the
provision of all digital patient data in operating theatres, a
service which is meeting with a growing demand throughout the
world. Since the conclusion of the agreement, S-CAPE GmbH is
concentrating on data-processing technology, its main line of
activity.
For the users of our products, the name PLANILUX-SCHULTE
stands for excellence, unmatched reliability, long service life
and for a superior price-performance ratio. Over more than 50
years, quality has been the priority commitment of our policy.
PLANILUX film viewers for diagnostic purposes also satisfy
the rigorous requirements specified in DIN 6856 Part 1 of
October 1995 and DIN 6856 Part 2 of April 1994. We contributed
considerably both to the conception and formulation of these
regulations.
The development of our products is entrusted to competent
engineers with a background of mechanical engineering,
electrical engineering, electronics and data processing.
They are assisted in their work by sophisticated electronic
data-processing facilities and CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
systems.
The entire development of a make, from the time the first
idea is conceived up to the release to production, is
exclusively handled by our qualified engineers and skilled
workers, all backed by a high-level of technical know-how and
years of product-related experience.
Through intensive consultations with leading radiologists, we
have come to know their requirements and this enables us to
offer the products which the market really needs.
Our workshops are equipped with the most advanced
CNC-machines (punching/nibbling centre, folding machines,
welding robots, laser cutting machines) as well as with a modern
powder coating plant.
No product is allowed to leave the factory unless it has been
put through extensive tests. It is released for delivery to the
customer only after it has been proved to comply with all
applicable standard specifications and regulations and to
satisfy our own stringent quality criteria.
By this means we ensure world-wide customer satisfaction by
providing products of consistently high quality.
